| Energy prices are increasing at an alarming rate. Wind and solar power is free! |
We have had an indication from our District Planning Authority that these machines come under the regulations of Permitted Agricultural Development, and if the criteria are met will not require planning consent. |

Kilowatt system These machines directly turn a permanent magnet generator on top of a 9 metre mast to feed power into a charger/controller, which, in conjunction with the batteries, provides a controlled voltage to an inverter. This takes the power it receives and converts it to useful 230 volt, AC current. With care, this can be used to power lights, water pumps, power tools (even our electric kettle!) – in fact anything requiring up to 2kW of power that we care to plug into the regular three-pin sockets. 2 kW turbine = £1,800 (Prices excluding VAT) Manufacturer's technical

| 500,
300 and 200 watt systems These smaller wind turbines are mainly designed to charge up batteries for use in isolated situations, e.g., for electric fences or to provide power in outbuildings, barns or stables. 500 watt machines charge up at 36 volts and includes an inverter
for 230V AC current. 300 watt machines charge up at 24 volts including inverter for
230V AC current. 200 watt machines charge up a single 12 volt battery, are
actually portable, and could be very usefully employed to keep batteries
charged up in the field for electric fences and other such uses. Manufacturer's technical
specifications for 500, 300 & 200W turbines
